Snorkeling

Snorkeling is a discipline that allows you to get in touch with the flora and fauna of the seabed, swimming on the surface up to a maximum of 5 meters deep. Equipped with a mask and snorkel, even in Italy, submerged panoramas await you, which preserve intact a charm that will conquer you, even if they perhaps do not boast the colorful tropical fish of the Maldives. The passion for snorkeling is an increasingly popular trend, because it is an activity that is not particularly demanding and suitable for everyone.

The Zingaro Reserve, between Castellammare del Golfo and Trapani, is one of the most enchanting places on the island. Natural park where the beaches follow one another along 7 km of protected area, with its clear waters and breathtaking views, it is the perfect place for snorkeling in Sicily. Limestone cliffs create a sort of natural backdrop that embraces the Mediterranean vegetation: colored algae, anemones and sponges, while the seabed houses submerged caves full of fish. In deeper waters you can also see specimens of red coral!

The rocky coasts of Mazara del Vallo (Quarara and Torretta) also offer numerous varieties of fish and fascinating rocky bottoms.

These places in Sicily are perfect for snorkeling: in the breath of the sea, among schools of fish and seagrass meadows, you live an adventure that leads you to discover hidden panoramas and underwater beauties, “spying” the pulse of life that populates them.
